Overview
Poole Harbour is one of the largest natural harbours in the world and the marinas around it hold a serious amount of tonnage over winter. It is a strong marine market and we work it hard.
Poole also has a working port and a Sunseeker yard, which means bigger hulls and more transport preparation than most south coast towns.
Local focus
Marine dominates, from cruisers at Cobb’s Quay and Salterns through to larger craft coming out of the harbour for road movement. Transport preparation is a bigger share here than elsewhere — hulls wrapped before they go on a low loader out of the port, where road salt and stone chip on a long run would otherwise land on gelcoat and brightwork.
