Who we are
Shrink Wrap UK is a specialist installation company based on the Isle of Wight, working across the UK and internationally. We do not sell film by the roll and we do not run training courses. We turn up and wrap things, which means every opinion on this website comes from doing the job rather than from a product catalogue.
That has shaped how we work. We survey before we quote, so the number does not move. We price removal and disposal in from the start, so there is no bill at the end that nobody mentioned. And if we think shrink wrap is the wrong answer for your job, we will say so — it costs us one quote and saves you a bad winter.
Over a decade in, the work now spans five sectors and more than six thousand completed projects, most of it arriving by word of mouth from scaffolding contractors, boatyards, main contractors and site managers who have used us before.
How we work
Tell us what needs protecting, for how long and where it is standing. Photos and rough dimensions are usually enough for a realistic figure the same working day.
We measure on site, work out the frame, the film area, the vents and the access, and check anything that affects the structure — including whether a scaffold is designed for a wrapped wind load.
One number, with doors, vents, travel and removal itemised. Risk assessments and method statements are supplied as standard on commercial work.
Crews work to your permits and access windows, including nights and weekends. Handover includes photographs of the finished work and film certification.
What we stand on
Surveyed before quoted, fixed after. No provisional sums, no “subject to access”, no spring bill for removal that nobody mentioned at the start.
If the scaffold is not designed for a wrapped load, or the film grade you have been quoted elsewhere will not last your programme, we tell you before you order rather than after.
The people who wrap a superyacht in Cowes are the people who encapsulate a scaffold in Soho. The standard does not change with the postcode or the price.

On the job
Our vans are hard to miss, and that is deliberate. When the livery is parked outside, the site manager knows the wrap crew has arrived, the neighbours know who is working next door, and the client knows exactly who did the job.
Every one of these was taken on a working job — university campuses, commercial yards, residential streets and escorted moves at first light.
