We work out of the Isle of Wight, which puts the Solent and the South Coast on our doorstep — that is where the marine work is heaviest and where a survey usually happens within 48 hours.
Everything else runs on scheduled trips. London and the Home Counties we are in most weeks. Essex, Kent and the Thames get batched runs. The North and Scotland are batched or mobilised directly depending on the size of the job. Travel is always its own line on the quote, so you can see what the trip costs rather than finding it hidden in a rate.

On the South Coast a survey usually happens inside 48 hours, and we are in London most weeks. Elsewhere we run planned regional trips, and larger jobs are mobilised directly. Tell us your deadline and we will say honestly whether we can meet it.
Only the travel line, and that is shown separately on every quote so you can see it. Everything else — the film, the labour, the removal — is priced the same wherever the job is. Booking early lets us fit you into a trip already going your way, which brings travel down.
Often, yes. Photos and rough dimensions — or scaffold drawings — are usually enough for a realistic figure the same working day, and a fixed price follows.
The honest answer
You will read the argument that the closest shrink wrap contractor is always the right one — less travel on the bill, a fresher crew on arrival, quicker to come back if something needs attention. It is a fair argument and we will not pretend otherwise.
Here is how we deal with it. Travel is its own line on every quote, so you can see exactly what the journey costs rather than finding it folded into a rate. We batch trips by region rather than making dedicated runs, which is why booking early genuinely costs you less. And on the south coast, where most of our work is, we are the local installer.
If a job is small, urgent and four hours away, we will say so and tell you to find someone closer. We would rather lose one quote than take a job we cannot service properly.
